Marie Bastide

Marie Bastide is an architect based in Gueliz, who after graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Versailles, has been living in Marrakech for the last five years.
The Marie Bastide Studio was born from a desire to bring together several complementary disciplines in a creative studio. The most prominent are architecture, photography and graphic arts. Rooted in minimalism, Marie’s approach continues to be enriched by her love for Moroccan culture, forms, textures, and colours. Part of her professional and personal joy is working among young talents and fresh minds, and sharing her experience by teaching drawing and painting to youngsters living in poor neighbourhoods or far up in the villages of the Atlas mountains.
Marie Bastide is 28 years old. She is fluent in French, English, and can communicate with confidence to native speakers in the Moroccan dialect.
